Parcel is a daily logic puzzle with a simple goal and a satisfying twist: divide the whole grid into non-overlapping boxes so that every box matches its clue. It's inspired by the classic Japanese puzzle Shikaku, but with an extra layer — each clue also tells you the box's shape.
Two clues in every tile
Each numbered tile carries two pieces of information. The number is the area — how many cells the box must cover. The glyph behind the number is the orientation the box must take.
- Wide glyph — the box must be horizontal (wider than tall)
- Tall glyph — the box must be vertical (taller than wide)
- Square glyph — the box must have equal sides
- Any glyph — any shape that hits the right area
Why the shape matters
In plain Shikaku, a 4 could be 1×4, 4×1 or 2×2 — you work out which from how the boxes pack together. In Parcel, the glyph often tells you instantly: a 4 with a square glyph can only be 2×2. That makes the early moves friendlier while the packing still demands real deduction.
One solution, no guessing
Every Parcel is generated to have exactly one solution that can be reached by pure logic. You never have to guess — if you're stuck, there's always a box you can place with certainty.
